Towaoc (TOY-yahk) was gentled at Mustang Camp by Patricia Barlow-Irick and then came to me to have her foal and receive further training. She is a beautiful bay with great feet and solid bone structure. I started her under saddle once her filly was weaned. She ties, trailer loads, is calm and well behaved for the farrier and vet. Stands quietly for saddling, mounting, and dismounting. Has been ponied on trail rides. Has had kids and beginner riders on her. Towaoc has the disposition to be a fantastic kid horse someday. Her ideal home is with someone confident enough to put the miles and time into her to bring out her potential. She would make a great family horse, as long as the parents are experienced horse people, since she is still young and relatively inexperienced. She is super gentle and calm. She gets along well with other horses and currently lives out with a mixed herd of geldings and mares. $1000 of her sale price will be donated to the National Mustang Association of Colorado to help further their efforts to humanely gather, tame, and find adoptive homes for the Mesa Verde mustangs.
