I picked Shane up from an auction when Black Forest Shires and Gypsies had a liquidation in 2007. He was imported from Europe and was 5yrs old at the time. He was being driven at the time of the auction. However, later I found out he had a cart accident. We think he was drugged at the action. I took him to trainer and he never settled to pulling a cart. I used him to drag my irrigation pods and he would scoot sometimes. I also lightly rode him until one day he bucked me off. Off to a trainer and said he did not think he would buck again. I have spine issues so he became a lawn ornament. He has a great personality and possibly with a trainer he may be able to be a riding horse but just light riding. He is a sweet heart. I will start working on liberty with him and see if I can get him and my Friesian working together. That would make a great presentation. And the Friesian is for sale too. He would also make a good in hand prospect for a 4 H kid. |
