Chief is an 11yr old gelding. I have used him primarily for western beginner lessons and horse camps the past 2 years. He has done gymkhanas, trails and I have used him to work cattle. He has more whoa than go but seemed to really enjoy working cattle and was supposedly a ranch horse with his previous owner. He can be looky when he is in a new place but has never offered to buck or bolt. He is great on an obstacle course and loves water. He has mostly been used for my 4yr old daughter, but because of his looky I would not suggest him for a beginner. Rides in a snaffle bit, side pull or hackamore. He has been ridden primarily western, does great bareback. He leads, loads, ties, good for farrier, UTD on Trims and chiropractic, scheduled for teeth and vaccines in May, was last flat done last may and had fall shots. The Bad, he gets studdy when mares are in hear, he will mount and he will get very protective and aggressive to other geldings in the herd while mares are in heat. Rides out with mares and geldings fine but in a pasture setting will chase them. 5 panel negative by parentage.
