Saunto is quite modern in type, taking after his sire, Don Caruso. He has wonderful movement, light and smooth with lift, quality, and high-level potential. He has noble structure with good bone, lovely balance, and a beautiful head. He is a sensitive gentleman. He thrives on patient but clear direction, and is a very smart boy! He has been a star in new environments.
He has beautiful gaits and will be a lovely dressage show horse that can take you up the levels with talent and ease. He has been shown in Intro and Training dressage classes with both a professional and a young amateur rider, with consistent high sixties and seventies and several high point awards. He has also been started over low fences. He is becoming a consistent, sensitive, and thoughtful ride.
He is barefoot, lives in a herd, and is a gentle leader. He can also clip, bathe, and stand well for vets and farriers, and he can tie, cross-tie, and trailer load. He has been taken to new places and ridden in large as well as small arenas.
