I've owned Jess all his life - and still have his sire. I tried for years to produce a nice stallion that was also double dilute, homozygous tobiano, and homozygous for the agouti gene, and finally got it when he was born (thus the name). I raised him and started him under saddle and test bred him to a couple mares (third photo is of his first foal out of a solid mare...last photo is him as a foal) and then life happened and the horse market in my area tanked and foals weren't selling for what you had in them. That was several years ago and the market seems to be back but I'm no longer breeding. I love this horse but it would be a shame for one with his unique genetics to go to waste here. So he's for sale - only to a great home that will use him. He's ridden once a week just to keep him going but he was never finished in a particular discipline since our purpose for him was mainly breeding from early on. I've searched online and haven't found another one with his genetics for sale, and very, very few standing at stud over the years. He will be a huge asset to a Paint breeding program, or any breed wanting to add guaranteed color to their foals. He will only produce palomino and buckskin base tobiano foals no matter what you breed him to - or cremello or perlino if bred to another dilute and possibly a dun, roan, or grey if the mare throws that....but he will always throw a red gene, creme gene, and agouti gene (no smoky black foals). One less than great thing is that Jess picked up a cribbing habit when he was at a trainer's barn when he was younger. We keep him in an area completely surrounded by hotwire where he has nothing to crib on, but he may start again if circumstances are otherwise. He has no health issues and never has had any, no lameness issues, or anything "wrong" with him. I care about this horse and he'll only go to a great home. I believe he's listed way under value, but I want him to be within reach of most breeders. Willing to trade for a nice side by side or RV of same value if you're local or can do all transport. May also consider a very well broke beginner horse in full or partial trade depending on value - I have a friend looking - though that would be my last choice. Stallion experience required - I want everyone, including Jess, to be happy! (386)299-6722
