This horse has had the start riders dream of, but few put the time into anymore. Jo has had extensive desensitizing, as he has been trained to be an older lady's bombproof, haul-anywhere and go trail mount. He is already that! Jo has had a year plus of ground work and has started riding on trails where he takes his time negotiating rough, steep and rocky mountain terrain. He has gone camping, and highlines, hobbles, and ponies other horses. He was used this spring on a large gather to move cows to high pastures. The cowboy riding him uses a bullwhip to move cattle along, no problem for Jo. He leads, follows and rides alone. Jo has the size and muscle to haul a larger person on trials or be a jam up roping horse. He really has the potential to be an all around. As he ages(he is only 3 now), with proper training he would make a great horse for the whole family. Although Jo has great riding experience, he has not been pounded hard, nor loped a million circles, as he is only 3 and his training has been strategized for longevity. In the arena, he has a nice, slow jog, bends and leg yields easily. His canter is smooth and relaxed. He side passes and can open gates. Jo also hauls well and stands great for farrier work. Jo is friendly and likes people, especially little ones. Although I do not encourage in-your-pocket horses, you could surely make him one! He has a great start for someone to pick up and continue on in whatever discipline you desire, to create your lifelong enjoyable partner.
