I am looking into listing my grade Breggo. He is a paint horse originally from Missouri and was started at two as a trail horse. He sat for four years. Here’s his story; He was broke out as a two year old and trail ridden for a whole year down in Missouri. Then when he came here in 2017/2018, he was ridden a handful of times in the round pen. Then he sat for four years because my daughter’s cancer progressed and all my focus was her and my grand baby. He then in 2022 was taken to the Minnesota horse training academy. He went through the program and rode through the rum river state first with Bree Sheehan… he looked like he was piaffing a couple times there because if his eagerness to keep up with the line of horses on trail. He had no funny business then. Only one time on a walk to the sandpits was he was hyper, seemingly upset , but I think he was getting bit by bugs. He was just hyper, but she got him home. Once he is finished training with someone, I’m sure he will be a middle double digit horse. When Larry ( horse trainer at MHTA) was demonstrating the Amish drive by, they used him. He adapts quickly, learns quickly and takes it. Like the throwing the milk jugs at him while lunging him with a rider. That’s what they did. He learned quickly to tolerate it. We used all Larry Surrett training methods from the Minnesota Horse Training Academy which is positive re enforcement He’s got a curious mind, eager to learn, huge hip and long body. He would ( in my opinion) excel in dressage. He’s got the body and control. The beautiful color, lush mane and tail, very thick. I have done little desensitization last year and we pulled huge branches and pushed branches. He adjust with your confident little by little with encouragement. He also was desensitized to an air hose. He’s a very willing horse, superior athletic ability, built nicely, and he wants to find his Job. He has lots of potential, but I am the only horse person here and I just had surgery on my ankle/foot. I’ll be in recovery for a while. He desires direction, connection and his own career. He is a sensitive horse. He’s an alpha top of the pecking order horse, very sensitive. I know he will excel. And I’d like to keep up with all his progress. He’d excel roping, pleasure, barrels, But I highly think his body is that of dressage horse. The capability of the tall floaty movements. A lease might be considered, and depending on the person, credentials and references, and legal binding contract, for a person on a budget but looking to spend their money on their own education and horses training at an approved dressage barn in Minnesota. Would possibly consider leasing him out to an approved dressage barn for training. Did I tell you, He smiles on command, hence the photo
