This 7-year-old gelding is sired by the late Smart Like Juice, winner of nearly $60,000 himself, and sire of over $4 million in earners. His dam, Tunderbird, is sired by Two T Tivio Tornado, who earned almost $14,000 in NRHA money, the hard way at small Midwestern horse shows. Bourbon is no stranger to the show pen with a long resume himself, being a point earner in NRHA, AQHA, Foundation Quarter Horse Association, and is a 2x AQHA Circuit Champion. Standing at 14.3, he is the perfect size for the whole family!
Bourbon has a fancy one-handed handle, a very quiet mind, and a kind demeanor. Smooth like a Cadillac, he is very comfortable to ride and has a luxury feel when youβre on him. With elegant lope departures, a steppy turn around, and a beautiful extended trot, he is a blast to cruise around! A push-style horse, he will go at whatever pace you tell him to. Bourbon has been kept at home and maintained by a non pro the majority of his life. No vices or bad habits whatsoever, he is the epitome of a low-maintenance horse!
Bourbon stands very patiently when tied, no matter where he is. He stands still for the farrier and picks up his feet with no problem. He will load and unload with ease, back out, or turn around - your choice. He has been on cattle and shows a ton of cow sense. He lunges with slack in the line, leads like a gentleman, and has a good attitude with beginner riders.
