If you want a strong, sturdy, endurance horse, look no further; this is your boy. He can be ridden all day. On one trip, the guide led us in the wrong direction, and he went 27 miles. He was still ready and was willing to go the next day. That was in the spring when he hadn’t been riding through the winter. And yet you can ride him with quarter horses. He loads perfectly and can be loaded last and told to get in and back out. He stands for the farrier. He will lead or follow any horse in the group. He can be in the pasture for six months, not be ridden, and still be the same. He has no buck or rear. He is not scared of traffic or four-wheelers. He will lead other horses across bridges and water and does not hesitate. You can pony other horses off of him. When you call for him in the pasture, he leads the pack right up to you. He is a very sweet and kind horse and will give you all he has to please you. He’s been a favorite of mine and my main riding horse, and a hard one to let go. I got Chance from a friend who raised him, rode him everywhere, and would not let him get away with anything. The lady was several years older than me and quit riding due to vertigo. I have ridden this horse in North and South Dakota, Colorado, Nebraska, Texas, and Oklahoma, Illinois, Arkansas, and a lot in Missouri. My 80-year-old friend has ridden him, and a couple of other friends have borrowed him a lot. My teenage granddaughter has also ridden him. I’m only selling this horse because I am short, and he is hard for me to get on to. I have a coming 3-year-old that is much shorter than him that I will be riding.
