Gandalf is a 9-year-old Thoroughbred (that's what the vet said) with a ton of potential to go in any direction. He is calm under saddle, has good ground manners, and has a lovely disposition.
He's big, 16.2hh, and needs a confident rider. He's good over water, down the trail, and in the arena. He's ready to go in any direction; he goes both English and Western, and has basic body control and flexion. He goes in a snaffle, bosal, or shanked broken bit and responds well to each. He's got a huge stride, and walks down the trail on a loose rein. He's been over rough country, mountains, cattle drives, and chaos. He's got a good motor but knows when to stay mellow. He leads, ties, trailers, and stands for the farrier. Gandalf has been ridden English and enjoys jumping. He's got a lovely extended trot, and could also do dressage. He's located in Glennville, CA.
