Monte is a super cute project horse with lots of potential. I have worked with him through the winter, getting him stronger and more confident.
He has made great progress even with some inconsistenty that comes with winter weather and not having a covered arena to work in! He is ready to move on to his next person. He still rides a little green so he would do best with someone who is confident working with young horses. He knows basic groundwork, he lunges both in rope halter and bridle and also works in the long lines. Under saddle, he likes working obstacles, trotting over cross-rails, trotting over cavelleti. He is getting stronger in the canter and should be ready to canter over poles soon. He is trotting into and cantering out of simple grids. Although I have been schooling him english, he could also go working western or ranch. In english, he could go pleasure, hunt seat or low level dressage.
