For Sale: 10 year old registered bay mare we have owned since we purchased her as a yearling from the Bill Smith-WYO Quarter Horse Sale. We used Maggie as one of our primary horses in a seasonal job in the Big Horn Mtns. of Wyoming for 4 years. She moved large herds of cattle, sorted sick animals and led a pack horse. Exposed to every outdoor situation imaginable, wildlife, bogs, creeks, downed trees and steep rocky terrain. She gets around good.
When not working in Wyoming she has traveled and camped in Utah, North Dakota and all over the midwest. Easy in camp whether tied or corralled. She is a steady trail riding horse, not a problem with shoeing, stands for mounting and loads and unloads with ease.
Maggie will tuck her head, back up and side pass. She can be nudged into a nice western pleasure jog. Prettiest headed horse we own! She is feminine, but a nice big girl. Lovely mare we have enjoyed owning. Time has come for my wife and I to slow down. We just spent 7 weeks in Wyoming with Maggie trail riding and camping and our knees just aren’t taking it anymore.
