This gelding is a barn favorite because he is very gentle, calm and willing to please. He has been trained with the horsemanship philosophy taught by the Dorrance brothers and Ray Hunt. He has excellent ground manners, stands calmly while tied and for the farrier. This gelding ground ties, and stays put while being saddled, unsaddled, mounted and dismounted. He has been taught to pick a person up off a gate, stump or mounting block. This horse is ridden out most often by himself showing no signs of being barn sour. He doesn’t whinny for others and walks in on a loose rein. He leads with ease by our side by side even with the arena drag rattling behind him. The dogs run behind him, jumping out of the creek or brush and he stays steady. He is accustomed to farm equipment, vehicles, 4 wheelers passing by without getting troubled. This horse gets along well with other horses. He comes from a reputable breeder that doesn’t need to advertise because the horses out of GUYS PAYDAY are so noticeably easy to train they advertise themselves. We have used him to move cattle and sheep, check fence line on steep hills, hauled him to horsemanship clinics. He’s always the same…calm and confident. He’s also very pretty with good conformation and solid feet. He’s been with us for three years, it has been a pleasure to spend time with this gelding. It’s time for someone else to enjoy him.
