Big Blue is a beautiful blue roan percheron/ quarter horse cross gelding and he is an absolute blast to have around. Big Blue is 4 years old and stands a solid 15.3 hands tall. We have had the pleasure of owning him for the last year and we have used him for multiple different tasks, from working cows to trail riding, we have had him on alot of trail rides and he will go about wherever you point him, through water and thick brush, he will make his own trail if asked to do so!
Big Blue is very well broke to ride, he has a smooth walk trot and canter! Big Blue rides around all day on a loose rein and my 4yr old daughter can ride him wherever here on the farm and out on the trail. I think about anybody can get along with him because he has a very sweet an loving personality, he loves all the attention you can give him. My daughter can go out in the pasture and he walks up to her to be caught and led into the barn, he really is a very sweet horse!
Big Blue rides great outside or in the arena and picks up his correct lead everytime. He rides out alone or with a group and is never pushy or rude to other horses on the trail. Big Blue has very good stall manners and does well being turned out with other horses as well.
We have ridden Big Blue down the main highway into town an the traffic does not bother him at all. We have exposed him to bouncy balls, tarps and different obstacles and he not bothered by any of it.
Big Blue stands to be tacked and mounted, he stands good for the farrier, to be bathed and clipped!! He is up to date on farrier, dewormer and dentistry!! Big Blue is definitely a one of a kind horse and is ready to move into his forever home.
