Olive is well-trained, smooth and comfortable to ride making her the ideal for your adventures, from trail riding to hunting and packing she’s solid broke. She is well built and is ready to tackle any terrain and provide a safe enjoyable riding experience. Solid, seasoned, & dependable is what best describes Olive. She is friendly and easy to catch. Olive is the one we catch at 2am to ride up the mountain through grizzly bear country to be where we want go elk hunting at daylight because we know we can trust her. She's also the one we grab when your friend calls at dusk and says he has an elk down and needs it packed off of the mountain, we put a pack saddle on Olive and up the mountain we go. We have packed out elk on her at midnight through very rough and rugged mountain terrain. She is good in any position of a pack string and leads well, she’s also happy have the pack string led off her. Over the last year she has been our go-to mule for everything. She is handy on the ranch, from gathering wild cattle on the mountain in the summer to dragging the feed sled in the winter and every ranch chore in between. She is very smooth in all gates and has an excellent ground traveling walk & trot. She's also happy to ride in any position of a group or she will ride out alone with out a fuss. She is sure footed, knows how to follow a trail but is also willing to go off the trail in any direction you point her. She is brave and confident out on the trail making her an excellent partner. She crosses creeks, downed timber and all the trail obstacles with ease and no hassle. She has a good one handed neck rein and rides well off your seat and legs. She knows how to side pass open and close gates. Anyone can ride her, she is safe for all ages and levels of riders. She takes time off well, no warm up needed. Catch her any time or on the coldest of days and she will ride off just the same as she always has. She will ride in any bit, with or without a crupper or britchen or just jump on her bareback and in halter. She is traffic safe, been rode in town and used for team sorting. She is a handy size at 13.2 hands tall and she is 9yrs old. She is great with her ears, easy to bridle and saddle. You can pick up and handle all her feet, stands excellent for the farrier to shoe. She is great to bathe and she is good with clippers anywhere including inside her ears. She gets along well in a mixed herd, she's happy by herself or in a box stall. She is good with kids, dogs,
