Elsa is a gorgeous, elegant 16h OTTB mare with impeccable breeding. Her sire, Bodiemeister, was 2nd in the Derby and Preakness and also sired Always Dreaming who won the Derby. Her dam, St Pancras, was the first mare American Pharoah was bred to. We purchased Elsa as a broodmare to cross with warmbloods but Life changes caused us to retire as breeders. Elsa was professionally re-trained first in dressage winning at her first show, Several months after being trained over fences, a fetlock became sore so we gave her the winter off. She is now being ridden 3 times a week with no soundless issues for 9 months. Xrays are available. She loves trail rides alone or in a group and would excel in dressage. Elsa ties, bathes, gets along well with all horses, vets, farriers and barn staff with no vices and is not mare-ish. She would thrive in a low key environment with her one person to give her the attention she craves. All shots, Coggins, teeth and feet are all current. She does well turned out with at least one buddy and is good in a mixed herd. Her time away from the track has allowed her to enjoy being a horse and appreciate any attention that comes her way! We will be selective in where she will live as she has become Family here. More info, pics and videos are available upon request. PLEASE serious inquires only. This is a very nice mare who will go to the ends of the earth with her human but lets not spend time with more pics and videos unless you want to have her in your barn!
