“Gay Bar Shadow”, AKA Spook is a 2016 APHA black gelding four white stockings, giving him all the chrome you could ever want! If you’re looking for a horse that rides nice and looks classy, Spook is my pick for you! This gelding is safe and has proven himself every step of the way in our program. From not being ridden for 15 days to hoping on in 35-degree temperatures, he has never offered to buck, bite, bolt, rear or do anything dangerous. He is SAFE and GENTLE! Not only is he safe, but he is also very well broke and has been shown in the ranch riding, ranch trail and ranch halter. He is also adorable under english tack and enjoys riding around the arena or packing out on the trails! Spook would be ideal for someone wanting a versatile heart horse to show or trail ride, explore new disciplines, and sign up for those clinics you’ve always dreamed of being a part of! He is the perfect horse to have around the ranch when your family members come to visit, and your non-horsey friends need something safe to join you on a trail ride or pack around 3 kids deep the arena The funny thing is, Spook doesn’t have any spook in him at all! He goes anywhere you point him with no hesitation. Spook will also ride out on the trails alone or in a group with no problems and does not get buddy or barn sour. He crosses all types of water, terrain, and obstacles with ease. He has been desensitized to all things such as tarps, blowers, donkeys, machinery, and dogs! He rides great in town, next to traffic or on the sidewalks! He’s just spooky cool and a blast to ride! In the arena, Spook has a large amount of maneuvers that will fit both western and english riders. From the western dressage to the all around at the local shows! He will spin, side pass and pivot on his haunches around poles or logs. He will WTC with ease and has a beautiful extended trot. He is very easy to control within his gates for the ranch riding and would be very suitable for someone who has never shown before. His favorite thing to compete in is definitely the ranch trial, and he does all of that with class! He has been exposed to cattle, so for ranching or sorting needs, Spook can easily do that as well. He is a horse that does not require any special type of equipment or tuning during the week to show on the weekends. Spook has been an amazing horse here at the ranch and is very easy for us to care for. He requires nothing special from feed to maintenance or stalling. He gets along with both mares and geldings during turn out. He loads and unloads on the trailer with no problem and stands tied all day long at the shows. He is a great patient for the vet, farrier, and dentist. He is UTD on all his needs! He is very sweet, and I cannot wait to see who ends up with him as their heart horse! He has always been sound within our program and has shown no signs of any health problems. He is HYPP and PSSM N/N! Spook is located here at our ranch in Huntsville, Texas.
