Meet Sapphire, an extra gentle, big, quiet natured Black Sabino REGISTERED SPOTTED DRAFT MARE. She is one of the kindest horses to be around and she loves attention. She has been used for arena riding and been ridden English and Western. She has been out on the trails and will pack beginners and novice riders with no fuss. She is very quiet natured and not reactive to loud noises. She adjusts to new surroundings and experiences with ease. She is traffic safe and fine with heavy equipment, four wheelers, side by sides, and skid steers. She will ride out alone bravely and with confidence. She stands 17 hands tall and she is 12 years old. She stands to mount, you can pick up all four feet, and she has excellent ground manners. She will lope circles out in the open in large fields and she stops easily. She will back up, move off of leg cues, and do what is asked of her willingly. She is easy to load, she hauls with no issues, and she stands tied quietly and for any amount of time. She has been out in the pastures to check cattle and push them from field to field. She rides bareback and in just a halter and lead rope. This mare has an extra comfy canter and a super easy to sit jog. She is smooth and does not jar you around. Her lope is collected and cool. She has no hump and no buck. She is fine with dogs trailing her heels when riding. This big mare is a gentle giant that is a great mount for anyone wanting to trail ride, do some slow cattle work, and English & Western riding in the arena. She is safe, honest, kind, and dependable. She will ride the same if you ride her a few times a year or every day. She is consistent and calm. She is registered with the SPOTTED DRAFT HORSE REGISTRY (SDHR).
