Vegas is a beautiful 7-year-old gelding palomino standing 14.1hh. Horses like Vegas are very hard to find. If you’re looking for the perfect gentle trail horse that’s fun for the whole family, Vegas is your man. Vegas is fancy broke, as well as a finished trail horse, and has done ranch work, checking fences, gathering cattle, catching wild cattle, and has been to the roping pen many times. Nothing really phases this guy; he is seasoned on organized trail rides and has been to big parades and a few train robberies. He will ride in a group or out alone. He’s the low man in the herd. Vegas has a good stop; put your feet forward and slightly lean back; he stops right then and there. Vegas will walk, trot, and canter, taking both leads and will side-passes. Vegas will lope off from a standstill. He is safe for anyone that knows the general basics of riding. He is good for the farrier, easy to bathe and load in a trailer. Vegas is well-trained with a one-hand neck rein or direct rein. It doesn’t matter; it just depends on what’s comfortable for you. Vegas will also lay down from the saddle and is a versatile horse that can go in any direction you want. He has been trail-ridden and camping in several states. He has seen everything possible on the trails; whips or guns don’t bother him. He will carry a flag, cross creeks, ditches, and logs, and navigate rough, rocky areas. Vegas doesn’t mind cars or side-by-side. He has very nice movements and will also side pass and yield hind quarters. Vegas has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer or turkey, or other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere that he is asked to. He has ridden many miles in the mountains and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed. Located in Hodgenville, KY. Feel free to call Adam with any questions or schedule a time to see Vegas.
