Kid tested & mom approved! DOLLY is a 10 year-old, AQHA mare, standing at a rider-friendly 15.2 hands. A patient teacher with a gentle nature, Dolly is beginner/kid friendly & lesson program suitable!
Dolly has the foundation, the experience, and the potential to be taken in any direction. She rides English, Western, Bareback, & doesn’t mind a days work around the farm. She is experienced and comfortable both on the trail and in the arena. She has an unload and ride anywhere style. She rides the same no matter the setting. Dolly lopes circles on a loose rein in the correct lead both directions, neck reins or direct reins depending on rider preference, moves off leg pressure, stops, & backs. Even though Dolly is equipped with all the fancy buttons she shows patience with inexperienced riders and children. Independent riders as young as age 5 have enjoyed her in the arena for walk, trot, lope lessons & out on the trail. She is safe for the very most beginner riders, a confidence boost for those getting back in to riding, and an enjoyable mount for those more advanced. She has something to offer just about anyone!
On the trail, Dolly confidently goes where she is pointed. Crosses water, downfall, and navigates rough terrain with ease. She is not herd-bound, an enjoyable ride, alone or with a group. Dolly has undergone extensive desensitation training. She is unfazed by tarps, gunfire, & carries the flag. She is exposed daily & comfortable around children, traffic, farm equipment, working dogs, cattle, and other livestock.
Dolly is a true pleasure to have around. Her friendly, easy going personality makes her a barn favorite. She’s easy to catch, she follows me to the barn every morning. She loads & unloads perfectly & hauls like a dream. She stands tied/cross tied, for bathing, for mounting, and for the farrier. Dolly is a very easy keeper. She is perfectly content living outside 24/7 or she can be kept in a stall, always neat & tidy. She turns out in a mixed herd zero issues.
