He is 16.1 hands tall with a heavy, white mane that cascades over his shoulder and a tail that is thick enough for four horses. He is big and handsome! Old timers say a horse's eyes will let you see their heart. Abe's eyes are huge and kind. Abe aims to please and absolutely loves people -- especially small children. His ground manners are impeccable. Abe will come when you call him and will "stay" when you tell him to. He will also follow you closely, no halter or treat required! Abe does a whole list of tricks. He will drop his head when you touch his belly with your hand. If you step up onto a mounting block, or a horse trailer fender or a picnic table, he will sidepass over to pick you up with ease. From the saddle you can simply tap his elbow with your foot and he will gently lay down for you. Abe will send into a trailer to be hauled. He will stand patiently in the trailer to be tied or to be easily unloaded again. He is safe! Abe's resume is filled with impressive job experience! He will ride English, western, bareback and/or bridleless. He is also a fantastic driving horse. He is just as comfortable in harness as he is under saddle. Abe's steady, rolling trot makes him a barn favorite because it is easy to sit and beautiful to see! His big, rocking chair lope is a joy to ride -- around the arena or across the hay meadow. He will also make you look good when he stops on a dime or slides to a stop when you say "whoa." In hunt seat, Abe has been ridden on the flat, over raised cavaletti poles, and even low cross rails. Or if you're more of a cowboy, Abe is confident around cattle. We have used him to gather and push cows and even roped off of him a little bit! He puts his ears up and enjoys every minute of "ranchin'." Abe has his masters degree in being safe for small children and has been shown successfully in all of the local ranch horse shows. He is up for any class; Ranch rail, ranch reining, ranch riding, horsemanship, trail, and conformation. He especially enjoys extreme obstacles. He will walk over bridges, work a gate, drag anything you want to dally onto, carry a flag, play with a blue tarp, conquer any water hazard, or ground tie for days. Abe is honest enough to pack a beginner with ease in the show pen. He is a confidence builder! Or he will step up his game and respond to the subtle cues of an advanced rider. Of course, Abe is safe around t
