Dapple grey with a flaxen mane and tail, Andalusian grace, and Friesian presence, he makes everyone stop and stare. Samson is an 2015 model, 17hh, half Andalusian, half Friesian Warlander, who loves people, and would rather be with them than other horses. He is the first one at the fence asking for attention, has an amazing work ethic, and loves to have a job! He has a great emperament on the ground as well as in the saddle. He is graceful under saddle and sweet and goofy on his own (he loves to steal your phone if texting is keeping you from petting him). He moves easily off the leg and seat. He does best with a light hand and goes well in a snaffle. He has had dressage training in the past, but was off for a while due to his owner's illness, so we are currently working on building his muscles back. He has been in a program and consistently worked since mid-September. He is schooled at 1st level and recently competed at training level at Grande Oaks and World Equestrian Center. He received a 62% in his very first show ever. He is an uphill mover with smooth gaits and easy transitions. He will stand on the cross ties for as long as you’d like, he loves the attention! He is amateur safe with the help of a program. He is brave 90% of the time and settles easily with a confident rider. He is pasture dominant and prefers solo turnout but can be in groups with large pastures so everyone can have their own space. Samson is an easy keeper with food and weight. He has had skin allergies in the past, but is currently not requiring any allergy medication, since moving to our barn. Currently in daily work, he is shod on all 4 with minimal pads on the front for protection from harder ground. He has side bones which have never caused him any issue, and has never taken a lame step, even with daily training. The Farrier just needs to be sure he is balanced. No recent x-rays, as there has been no need in the 4 years this owner has had him. PPE’s welcome! He does not buck, kick, rear, or bite. He enjoys having a confident rider who he can trust and listen to for direction. Not a beginner's horse, but he would be suitable for an amateur in a program. He loves having a human to call his own. Our goal is a forever loving home for him. Any other questions, please call/text Rebecca Rodriguez 407-496-0088 Located in Orlando, FL.
