Gorgeous RARE ( 3% of the breed) red dun Norwegian fjord colt that carries the gray and red genes! Rorik will be an exceptional addition to any quality fjord breeding program and has the temperament and athleticism to be a working, competition or a great family horse and best friend. Rorik will have a more drafty build. He is by the imported and famed, white dun, Bastian vom Oderhaff who is well known for producing kind, willing and curious foals. As a foal in Germany, Bastian won best Fjord foal in his state. After importation, Bastian scored 83/100 and earned a Canadian Red/US Blue ribbon in conformation which evaluates presence, attitude, personality, substance of bone and masculinity. He is trained in and scored very well in dressage, rides western and drives. He's helped Girl Scouts earn their horsemanship badges, participated in Equine Liberty classes, mounted archery and a fan club. The list of his accomplishments can go on and on.
Rorik's dam, Oddens Evy Bolseth is a grey dun and absolute darling and conformationally correct mare. She loves people and helped Girl Scouts earn their horsemanship badges as well as being trained as a therapy horse. Evy is a big bodied drafty mare with superior stamina. She rides and drives. Evy's sire is a legendary Norwegian imported grey dun stallion, Smedsmo Graen. The 5 week stallion station performance tests placed Smedsmo in the top 10-20% of all Fjord stallions tested. He received three perfect 10's. During any given year, 85% of the stallions shown don't make it to the tests at all. He has also been a spectacular and life-changing therapy horse, rides and has driven at many prestigious events. He has recently passed away and his superior genetics are very sought after.
