A kind eye, a big heart, a docile personality, a sound mind, and stunning looks make Bishop a sure win for anyone wanting to add an impeccable gelding to their family! Bishop is an 8-year-old Friesian/Percheron Cross. He stands at a rider friendly 15.3 hands and has flawless conformation! The possibilities are endless with Bishop! This versatile gelding rides English, Western, and bareback. His jumps are effortless! His movements are beautiful! A great show jumping, hunter jumper, or dressage prospect. On the trail, he is calm and relaxed. Will ride out alone, ride away from other riders, or in a group. He is not herd bound. He crosses water, limbs, and logs and goes up and down hills, over bridges, and through brush. Bishop is sure-footed, takes care of his rider, and will confidently go wherever he is pointed. Bishop is traffic safe. He has frequently been ridden and driven on the road, even down the median of the four-lane highway! Bishop possesses all the qualities of a good one. He lopes circles in both directions on the correct lead, side passes, and neck reins. He is voice command trained to “whoa” and “walk” both from his back and hooked to the wagon. Even though he has all the fancy buttons, he is very tolerant of inexperienced riders. He has been ridden, handled, and enjoyed by various experience levels. If wagon rides are your thing, Bishop is your guy! Frequently lady driven. He stands to harness and hook. He is unfazed by passing traffic, barking dogs, the sound of trains, and honking horns. He will go whatever speed you ask on a loose line. His driving experience makes him great for wagon trails, carriage rides, weddings, and events! Bishop is safe! He has zero spook, zero bad habits, is very confident, and is willing to do whatever is asked of him. We often use Bishop to tote our 11-month-old son with us around the farm and on trails! I trust him that much! He has been exposed and is super comfortable/safe around four-wheelers, dirt bikes, tractors, kids, strollers, flags, traffic, wildlife, other pets, and livestock. Bishop has been hauled all over. He is the same horse in town as he is at home. No matter the setting, this guy is never bothered. He will stand tied/cross-tied all day! He ground ties for all tasks if you wish. He behaves like a perfect gentleman for grooming, saddling, bathing, the farrier, and clipping. He loads and unloads in a regular-size slant trailer with rear tack with no issues! Bishop can be stalled or turned out. He is super easy to catch…he follows me from the gate to the barn every day. He pastures fine with both mares and geldings alike. A true pleasure to have around! Make sure to check out his video! If you have any further questions or want to meet this gorgeous guy in person, we would be glad to have you! He sure is something to see! ***For more info, please visit MyHorseConnection.com or call us! (270) 772-1706***
