Big Red is a 15 yo sorrel Tennessee Walking Horse standing 16.2 hands. He has been on tons of organized trail rides and state parks from Virginia to North Carolina. He will ride anywhere you point his nose and is not spooky at all. He is more “go than woah” but he is not pushy and will stay slow if asked. Beginner guests at our farm ride him on guided trail rides and my 9 yo lesson student rides him no problem! He leads, follows or rides solo. He has a lovely gait if you prefer to gait on rides and he will go all day long. He LOVES water so needless to say he crosses creeks, streams or rivers perfectly. He is super friendly in the pasture towards other horses and he is always the first to greet you at the gate. No buck, bite or rear and extremely well mannered. He stands patiently being tied, groomed, mounted and for the farrier. Currently wears 2 front shoes but can be shod all the way around or he can go barefoot.
