7 year old Mustang/Paso Gelding for lease or potential sale. He is from the Yakima Valley and reservation bred. He is one sweet special boy with a great mind. Learns very quickly. He has been on the trails and done well. Given more time he will be a solid mount. He has been ground driven in harness and training is progressing in that direction. He lunges perfectly and has been used in the round pen on the lunge line with new riders for confidence building. Saddles and bridles well although he goes best with a hackmore or bitless bridle. In the past he has achieved getting his tongue over the bit which has been a challenge to overcome yet think we have that fixed for the most part. He is super good for grooming and ties well. Rock solid feet and good for the farrier. Loads and unloads into a straight load trailer. Backs out on his own. Super easy keeper! Needs a job and could benefit by loosing some weight. Feeding only timothy hay and Teff pellets for a treat. He has foundered in the past so needs a dry lot during the spring/summer and fall. He is stalled and turned out daily on pasture for about 2 hours throughout the winter time when grass is not rich. I have muzzled him during the times grass is rich. I will be very selective as to where he will go and will require 1 vet reference and 2 personal references for potential candidates. I love this boy and would not consider him going anywhere yet I don't have the time he really needs and deserves at this point in his young life. I would prefer he be within a 30 minute driving distance from me yet all in negotiable and the best for hime is my goal.
