Phillipe VII is a 2010, 15.2 hand registered Arabian gelding "Felix" has exceptional ground manners and is extremely kind making him an easy barn favorite here. He lives in pasture with a herd, but doesn't mind hanging out in a stall either. He will stand tied patiently for long periods and he is wonderful for the Farrier. Felix is a lovely low level dressage horse. He has extremely comfortable gaits with a smooth trot and rocking horse canter. Dressage is fairly new to his resume so he is still building strength and understanding in some of the movements, but he is a willing participant and stays very relaxed. He is super steady in the bridle and loves a good stretchy trot. He is an Arab you can really put your leg on as he is a tad on the lazy side which I believe is a positive thing for him. Along with the dressage work Felix has given a couple beginner lessons when our pony was out of commission, although he is not being sold as a beginner horse he is more comfortable with a rider with quiet hands. Felix has also been ridden during ranch ropings at our farm and was cool as cucumber around all of the commotion. He even chased a cow in a dressage saddle! In his early years Felix was used for endurance racing and trail riding. He had owners in his past that tried to push him to do something he didn't love, but luckily for him he landed with an exceptional couple who have cherished him. They ultimately do not have time for a third horse and are green trail riders themselves so Felix isn't an ideal match, but we are determined to find someone who is. Felix is still a good boy on trails in the country, but prefers having a friend to give him confidence. Felix is barefoot, UTD on everything and no history of lameness. This horse truly deserves that special someone who wants a best friend type partner who will love him for him and provide him with an exceptional home.
