Barn favorite, personal favorite, and just downright part of the family. Boone is the type of horse that you just enjoy being around. Sure, he is an eye catcher and rides around, but he could also save you money and keep you from the local therapist. Boone is a people pleaser, as he is always licking and chewing, looking for the right answer. Pictures do not do this horse justice; he is built like a brick house. He has been ridden by everyone: from beginner kids doing lessons, to advanced adults, both in the arena and out on the trail. Full Disclosure: I had a PPE done on Boone on 1/26/24 which found a moderate navicular change on the LF. We will make his PPE available to the public, and be happy to send radiographs as well. I have been riding/training Boone 5-6 days a week without as much as a lame step but want to be as upfront and transparent as we can about any potential long term maintenance. With a full list of money earners in his pedigree, Boone will be right there in the mix! He checks the most important boxes: safety, disposition, athleticism, and personality. He has been on numerous overnight camping trips, obstacle courses, shot off of. You name it, we have tried it. As far as personality is concerned, he could double as the family dog, as he will be the first to greet you in the pasture and will drop his head in your arms to be loved on until you leave. His mellow and good natured demeanor makes him a great confidence builder and would suit most any level of rider. He is bred to have cow sense, and the natural talent is there. Boone has a deep stop off of your seat, fun and correct turn arounds, and smooth transitions. This is the type of gelding you can use for a week, or lay him off for 45 days and step right back in the middle of. He has a great travel. You can easily throw an english saddle on him and stride out, or scale back to a nice pidder patter trot and rocker chair lope around the arena. Boone has been hauled around the country, different state parks on overnight trail rides, and ridden by a variety of riders and disciplines. He stands quietly for the farrier and will ground tie until you tell him differently. He is the perfect size for a rider with bad knees, as he is easy to get on and off, but stocky enough to carry almost any size rider comfortably. He has been exposed to all farm machinery and equipment, road traffic, gunfire, deer, cattle- you name it. This gelding has been nothing short of a pleasure to work with since he stepped foot on our property. No matter what direction you want to go, this phenomenal gelding will be sure to take you there. He has all the buttons: side pass, turn around, leg yield- but just as easily, point and go. Gentle, flashy and broke, with unlimited potential! We are so excited for you to meet Boone! You will not want to miss out on him.
