This beautiful flaxen chestnut mare has been a broodmare for us and others. She is no longer breeding sound but we are fortunate that we have access to her daughter to breed on. At age 18, she has many years of service ahead and no one moves like Princess does. Last fall after we decided we would not be able to settle her, she began working in lines. She lunges beautifully, does not lug out, and wears the saddle and bridle. She doesn't love the long line reins around her hindquarters so we have focussed on saddling her, not driving. She has not yet been ridden though the trainer has stood in the stirrups and laid across her back. She has a beautiful floating movement that would make any rider look good. She is a Faiirfield Fortune x Channel Airtime granddaughter, if you can believe it. Her full brother, Oldfield Touch and Go, is a very successful eventing horse who competes against the warmbloods. Her 3/4 sister was a junior champion in both hunt and western disciplines. She is bred and built to be athletic, but like anyone who become an athlete in middle age, she needs to be brought along patiently. We will consider experienced riders who have finished horses themselves or who are working with a trainer. She would be a great project for a young rider who wants to learn how to develop a horse under saddle into a particular discipline. Her price is negotiable to the right buyer. The next step, if you are interested, is to come and see her. We want to meet you. We want to be sure she goes to a knowledge owner. She has a lifetime home with us unless and until the perfect buyer comes along.
