“Shas Double Feature” 2008 16.1 hand Buckskin Appaloosa All Around Gelding. We are super excited and proud to offer this exceptionally versatile gelding. He has been one of our personal horses this past two years, and I honestly don’t think there is anything he can’t do. Whether it’s cantering through a jump course, heading out on a fox hunt, being your right-hand man roping and working cattle on the ranch, or packing your loved ones safely down the trail, he can do it all and does it very well! “Doc” has been a favorite in our barn. He has wonderful ground manners, and even though he stands a big 16.1 hands and is very stout with great bone, he is safe to be handled by the youngest and most timid horse owners. He has no vices or bad habits, stands great for tacking, grooming, bathing, clipping, and farrier, and will quietly stand tied all day. Loads and hauls easily and settles into new places without any issues. Great out in the pasture with other horses and is a dream in the barn. He has a great disposition and friendly demeanor that you and your family will surely fall in love with. He is a dream to ride and has tons of experience riding both English and Western. Very pretty mover under saddle and has been shown in the all-around classes. He loves to jump and is novice-friendly for the riders just learning. He would be a fantastic western dressage horse. He has been on a few fox hunts and shines in that Discipline. As nice of an English horse, “Doc” is, he is equally just as great at Western. He is a very experienced ranch horse and has been a huge asset working, sorting, and doctoring cattle. He doesn’t get “hot” or worked up on them and makes a great, trustworthy partner with tons of patience and heart to work long days and get the job done. He is a very nice ranch rope horse, both on the heading and heeling sides, pasture ropes, and has spent some time in the box if someone wanted to do some jackpot or breakaway ropings with him. “Doc” is 100% family and kid-safe and is a very seasoned trail horse. He crosses logs and large creeks, goes through mud and thick brush, and easily handles rough and steep terrain. He has been on numerous week-long and longer camping trips. He is not spooky or reactive to anything. Watch “Doc’s” video, as we have tried to showcase and capture how versatile and amazing he is. We have included lots of pictures of us using him throughout the year and enjoying every moment! If you are looking for that unique, one-in-a-million horse that can do anything you want and works for any age or level of rider, he is worth checking out!
