Jacob’s Star Flyboy AKA “Flyboy” is a wonderful large pony and a barn favorite. He is a 17 yr old 14.2 hand Connemara gelding. He has a striking buckskin coat in the summer and a silver coat when clipped in the winter. He has a great personality! He loads, clips, baths, stands for the farrier and vet, and enjoys being groomed. He is easy to catch in the pasture. All you have to do is call his name! Flyboy qualified and attended USEF Pony Finals in Lexington, Kentucky in 2019 and 2021. He also qualified for Pony Finals in 2020, but the show was canceled due to COVID. He has shown at the Colorado Horse Park, the Kentucky Horse Park, and a few smaller schooling shows around Montana consistently from 2018 to 2022. He had previous show experience with his first owner as well. Flyboy has no buck, bolt, or stop. He requires a little preparation at shows but relaxes as the week goes on. Despite Flyboy's show record and sweet personality, he has been on the back burner. Since late 2022, Flyboy has been in leases and is currently looking for his person. He would do well with an ambitious junior or amateur with soft hands in a professional program. He is not for a beginner. He is more go than whoa and requires a rider that will keep him in check. He does tolerate mistakes and will get any rider to the other side. Flyboy has competed as a hunter pony for the time he has been with us but he would also make a wonderful dressage or jumper pony. He may also make a good eventing pony, but he has never schooled cross-country. He has done some small dressage schooling shows and the judges love him. He is very talented and has schooled up to 3’6” with his owner. He has a large stride that will take you down the lines and has automatic lead changes in both directions. Flyboy is for sale because his owner is currently in college and does not have time to work with him anymore. Priced for a quick sale and a good home. Please reach out for more information, videos, and photos, and to set up a time to come try him! Located in Billings, Montana.
