Brandy is a pretty mare that has had Natural Horsemanship training and has been used for trail riding her whole life. She is sound and healthy and current on deworming and vaccines. She is easy to catch, stands tied at the trailer and enjoys being groomed. She loads, bathes, takes fly spray, dewormer and farrier work. She has been barefoot and shod. She goes over deadfall, through water and up steep trails. Unfortunately, I don't get the chance to ride a lot but, I have had Brandy in a variety of scenarios. When I first got her, she reared up on a couple of rides. After changing all her tack and having Equine massage/bodywork done on her, she is better. She has a smooth slow jog and can move at either a slow or quicker pace when asked. She can lead or follow in a group. She is buddy sour, but I have had nice rides on her alone. I have not worked her on cows, but she knows what they are. She is used to dogs, other horses, mules and wild critters like deer and pheasants in her pasture. Brandy can be calm and gentle one minute then nervous and sassy the next. I keep her on a SmartPak supplement for mares. It helps with her hormones and comfort. I feel that, with training, Brandy could do more things like working cows, English riding, low jumps, or horse shows. I believe that with more time and miles she will become an awesome trail mount. I have lead kids on her, but she is best suited for an intermediate to experienced rider at this point. I will be picky where she goes. She deserves a quality, forever home. Come check her out!
