HIGH QUALITY MARE LOOKING FOR HER OWN PERSON! Senior owner has been on and off the fence about rehoming 'Portia' for quite a while now, to no fault of hers. 'Portia Cayenne Afire' has many years of professional training. Trained second level dressage, shown Hunter Pleasure, Halter Classes+ with previous owner. Ribbon winner. Own Daughter of Champion Stallion 'Justafire DGL' producer of accomplished show winners, Granddaughter of Numaa++ (on Dam's side). Sweepstakes Nominated. Was evaluated on conformation and movement as a prospective PSG, National level horse by international Judges (was valued at $25,000). Don't let Portia's age fool you... she seems like a much younger horse and should have many more years of service to offer. Portia is classy looking, athletic, and has fluid movement. Easy keeper. Doesn't require any special care. No extra maintenance, no medications, injections, etc. Up to date on shots (flu/tet), deworming, hoof trim. Yearly dental/exam 10/11/24, everything looked good. Portia's tidy in her stall/paddock area (stays clean, even her white socks). When Portia is in sync with her rider, where you look is where she goes (responsive to seat). Has lots of buttons if you know how to use them (ask). Respectful stall manners, is well-behaved for grooming, picking up/cleaning hooves, blanketing, etc. She enjoys attention and being doted over. Portia loves attention and will make someone a lovely riding partner and companion. Along with myself, she's been used at our barn by novices with supervision/lessons, as well as more confident/experienced riders on their own after they've shown they can work independently. If you are looking for a babysitter, pushbutton type of horse for a beginner rider (without supervision) ... please keep looking. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body but is not bombproof (if there is a such thing). An assortment of blankets, leather halter with her name engraved, leg wraps, hoof boots, misc., go with her. Multiple visits to get familiar with Portia are welcome, along with your own pre-purchase exam, trainer evaluation, etc. When Portia leaves, we want her new owner/s to be tickled pink with her. We've had Portia for almost 9 years, and a well-suited home will be important to us in her placement. My first choice of partners at this time is with a confident intermediate rider looking for a one-on-one relationship with their horse. With all her years of training (it's still there... she just needs riding), it could be rewarding to do some schooling with her. She's definitely show worthy and could put you in the ribbons. We can provide full care board if you might need time to move her to your facility (or?). Asking $7000/cash, to a great home. No trades, etc. Please call (three-six-zero) 366-3631 (landline, no text), for more information. Thank you.
