I've been on and off the fence about rehoming Portia for several years now. She'll be missed by me along with many girls/women that have enjoyed her thru the years. She is a high-quality mare looking for a situation where she will be appreciated and used to her full potential. 'Portia Cayenne Afire' has many years of professional training. Trained thru second level dressage, shown Hunter Pleasure, Halter Classes+ by her previous owner and trainer. Very noteworthy pedigree. Own Daughter to Champion Stallion 'Justafire DGL', producer of many accomplished show winners and a Granddaughter of Numaa++, from her Dam's side. Sweepstakes Nominated and evaluated on conformation and movement as a prospective PSG, National level horse by international Judges. Portia seems like a younger horse. She is an easy keeper and doesn't require any special care. No extra maintenance, no medications or injections, etc. Since we've had Portia, she's been used by different ages/levels of riders. Most with lessons/supervision at our small private barn, with more experienced on their own after they have shown that they can work/ride independently. Video on ad was put together spur of the moment and the riding is all unedited. First and third riders are young women that used Portia in past couple years. Second rider in video is more recent after Portia hadn't been ridden in quite a while, and she'd never ridden her before (not normally so swishy tailed). Likes a soft hand, balanced seat. Light in the bridle, and sensitive to aids. When she's in sync with her rider... where you look is where she goes. She is a kind and sensitive Mare looking for a partner that will treat her well. All of her blankets, personalized leather halter, and other belongings go with her. Up to date on 4-way flu/tet, de-worming, hoof trim. Dental/exam 10/11/24. Everything looked good. When Portia leaves, we want her new owner/s to be tickled pink with her. Multiple visits to get familiar with her (and ride her, weather allowing), pre-purchase exam, trainer evaluation, etc., is welcome. If you need time to move Portia to new facility or make a couple of payments, we can provide full care board for a while (like to see moved before Winter). We will provide all feed, clean stall/paddock, groom, de-worm, and trim hooves. I have lots of videos of Portia under saddle with different riders, and also in hand, if you make a visit (hired someone to put quick video together for ad, so I didn't have time to sort thru all of my videos). $5850/cash, to a great home. Must meet to appreciate. Children are welcome... she loves them. Please call (three-six-zero)366-3631 (land line, no text), for more information. Thank you.
