Senior owner has been on and off the fence about rehoming Portia for quite some time now. She's a high-quality mare looking for an ideal situation where she will be appreciated and used to full potential. 'Portia Cayenne Afire' has many years of professional training. Trained thru second level dressage/schooling third, shown Hunter Pleasure (flat classes, not a jumper), Halter Classes+ by previous owner and her trainer. Could make a decent games horse too, with her athletic ability. She can run fast, turn and stop on a dime. Pole bending, barrels, keyhole or? Noteworthy pedigree. Daughter to Champion Stallion 'Justafire DGL', a producer of many accomplished show winners and Granddaughter of Numaa++, Dam's side. Portia is Sweepstakes Nominated and was evaluated on her conformation and her movement as a prospective PSG, National level horse by international Judges. Portia looks and acts like a younger horse. Easy keeper. Doesn't require any special care. No extra maintenance, no medications, injections, etc. She's all up to date on 4-way (flu/tet), deworming and hoof trim. Yearly dental/exam on 10/11/24, and everything looked good. Portia has been used by different ages and levels of riders at our private barn. My first choice of new owners is a well-schooled intermediate rider that can do her justice (lots of buttons if you know how to ask). Portia is sensitive to aids (appreciates a soft hand, balanced seat), and when ridden regularly and is in sync with rider, where you look is where she goes. I don't think it would take much time to have Portia ready to show, if you wanted to do some show classes. Multiple visits welcome to make sure of a good fit, along your own pre-purchase exam, trainer's evaluation. When Portia leaves, we want new owner's to be tickled pink with her. We'd like to see her be doted over and get used more, since she enjoys attention and deserves an active life. In video, Portia hadn't been ridden in several months. The first rider is a novice western rider/beginner gamer using a dressage saddle for her first time, the second rider is a young lady with quite a bit of experience that hadn't ridden in several years. We have had Portia for 8 1/2 years and she's always been easy to be around and handle. Great stall manners, respectful of your space. Ties, is easy to groom, clean hooves (can hold foot up with one finger). A well-suited home will be important to us in Portia's placement. Several blankets, leather halter with her name engraved, neck cover, polo wraps, halters/leads, misc., will go with her. $6850/cash, to a great home. No trades, etc. Please call (three-six-zero)366-3631 (land line, no text), for more information. Thank you.
