HIGH QUALITY MARE LOOKING FOR HER OWN PERSON! Senior owner has been on and off the fence about rehoming 'Portia' for quite a while now, to no fault of hers. 'Portia Cayenne Afire' has many years of professional training. Trained second level dressage, shown Hunter Pleasure, Halter Classes+ with her previous owner. Ribbon winner. Own Daughter of Champion Stallion 'Justafire DGL' producer of accomplished show winners, and a Granddaughter of Numaa++ (on Dam's side). Sweepstakes Nominated. She was evaluated on conformation and movement as a prospective PSG, National level horse by international Judges when young. Don't let Portia's age fool you... she seems like a much younger horse and should have many more years of service to offer. Portia is classy looking, athletic, and has fluid movement. Easy keeper. No extra maintenance, no medications, injections, etc. Can see copies of X-rays, hematology, and chemistry lab work. Up to date on shots (flu/tet), deworming, and hoof trim. Had yearly dental/exam 10/11/24 and everything looked good. Portia's tidy in her stall/paddock area (stays clean, even her white socks). When Portia is in sync with her rider, where you look is where she goes (responsive to seat). Has lots of buttons if you know how to use them (ask). Has respectful stall manners, is well-behaved for grooming, picking up/cleaning hooves, blanketing, etc. Portia enjoys getting attention and being doted over. Along with myself, she's been used at our private barn by novices with supervision/lessons, as well as more confident/experienced riders on their own after they've shown they can work independently. Multiple visits welcome to get familiar with Portia and make sure of a suitable match, along with your own pre-purchase exam, trainer evaluation, etc. When Portia leaves, we want her new owner/s to be tickled pink with her. We have lots of videos of Portia under saddle with different riders, if you come for a visit. My first choice of partners for Portia is with a confident intermediate rider in a lesson program. Someone that can do her justice and use her to full potential. Update 3/14/25: Portia had not been ridden since last Summer and did well with a teen rider. An assortment of blankets, leather halter with her name engraved, leg wraps, hoof boots, misc., will go with her. We purchased Portia 9 years ago come April. She's always been a pleasure to be around and handle. $5500/cash (firm), to a great home. In the rough, coming out of Winter. Please call (360)366-3631 (landline, no text), for more information. Thank you.
