Apollo is a very friendly 5 year old Registered Friesian cross gelding and stands at around 16.1 hands. He is absolutely gorgeous with a flowing mane, forelock and a silky beautiful tail. Apollo has a really fun and engaging personality so you can’t help but love him. We feel like he would do really well in an English or Western program since he has done a little dressage, roped a little and been all over on trail. He is young and enthusiastic about his job and we feel like he could go in just about any direction though he is a shoe in as dressage horse. He has even proven himself to be able to ride bridless easily turning and stopping off of our legs and seat. Apollo is extremely respectful on the ground and young kids can easily trailer load him, brush, wash and take him all over the property. He hops in the trailer with a point and a click and can stand tied for hours. He has been hauled extensively and doesn’t mind being in any type of horse or stock trailer. He has been exposed to barking/snarling dogs, cows, Buffalo, cars, trucks, goats, donkeys, dirt bikes, quads, UTV’s, tractors, farm equipment, welding, jackhammering and everything you can imagine on trail. He has a nice floaty trot, comfortable lope and a confident walk. We invested a few extra months of training in this gorgeous guy and we are sure glad that we did. He has become incredibly consistent and holds himself nicely in the arena. We’ve also taken him all over on trail and he’s incredibly solid for a 5 year old horse. He has a great mind and easily handles all of the obstacles that we have thrown at him. He is calm and safe enough for just about anybody to ride him however we would recommend a beginner have a trainer to keep all of the training and buttons we’ve put on him. We find that he does best with consistent work of 3 days a week plus though can recall all of his training with a groundwork session if he has to sit a bit. Apollo has been pre-vet checked and is up to date on vaccines, teeth, worming, and farrier. No maintenance. More gentle horses available on our website www.lazyoakshorses.com
