Molly is as gentle and quiet as you can find one. She is also a beautiful horse with a nice head, and kind eyes. Stocky well made mare. Molly has been a western horse her entire life. She walks, trots, canters, neck reins, stops, stands and backs. Moves off leg and knows her leads. Very soft mouth with excellent brakes. More whoa than go and is hands down the perfect true beginners horse. She loves kids and I'd love to see her where she can be someone's heart horse. Molly would go right into any lesson program packing total beginners, newbies and kids around. She would also be a perfect addition to any therapy program. This is a horse that’s really not done a whole lot of arena work but you really wouldn’t know it because she’s so honest and willing to do whatever is asked of her. She will ride bareback, double, mount and dismount from either side. She can be ridden in a halter, broken snaffle or low curb (correction) bit. She rides the same whether you rode her yesterday or 6 months ago. Excellent ground manners. Clips, ties, bathes, trailers, stands to be saddled, easy to bridle, picks all 4 feet. You can leave her on cross ties, walk away and she’ll still be in the same spot and won’t be making a fuss. She gets along in a herd, no marish behaviors. No vices at all. Molly does have an everted costochondral junction on her left side. This is basically that a portion of her rib sticks out further than the others. She was born with it and it has not caused any concerns. She also has an osteophyte (smooth old bone chip) which has not caused her any issues. She was examined by the vet. The rib is not a concern with any future plans for breeding. Neither issue requires any medical intervention. She tends to have thin soles on her front feet so she's sensitive to hard, rocky ground. She does fine with a flat pad if shod or boots if barefoot.
