Le Lumiere, aka “Drizzle”: 2023 Black Oldenburg colt by Livaldon (Vivaldi/Donnerhall) out of Royal Lumiere (Starlight/Wildcard). Drizzle is a beautifully put together colt with the sweetest disposition. Even in a growthy stage right now you will see that he naturally lifts his shoulders and has amazing balance. His canter is a highlight and flying changes are just plain easy for this guy. If you are looking for an amazing performance partner this is your guy! Drizzle is by Livaldon who has an impressive breeding dressage index of 139. He has had multiple offspring represent him in the Bundeschampionate in Germany and you will find his progeny in the FEI rings as well. Livaldon’s sire Vivaldi was internationally successful with Hans Peter Minderhoud, and has over 30 licensed sons in Germany. Vivaldi was himself Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test with 9.0 for walk and canter as well as 8.5 for trot. He won the five-year-old Pavo-Cup in Holland, won three stallion competitions in 2008, and in 2009 won the final of the KWPN stallion series, receiving a 10 for his trot. Vivaldi is now recognized globally as an outstanding producer of sport horses and stallions and in 2019 was amongst the top ten of the world’s best dressage sires of the WBFSH ranking. He has produced several international Grand Prix dressage horses including well known names like Dream Boy, Desperado and Cennin. Overall his offspring are known as very willing horses who work for their rider and have good temperaments. Livaldon’s dam-sire Donnerhall needs no introduction. He produced 134 licensed sons and has 102 documented Grand Prix offspring. At one point he had a Dressage breeding index of 150. He has definitely left a lasting legacy in the dressage sport horse breeding world. He was known for producing very rideable horses that had a solid work ethic. Drizzle’s dam-sire Starlight is quite special as well. He’s by Sandro Hit out of jumping lines In 2007 “Starlight was awarded the German Oldenburg Verband Dressage Sport Horse Breeding ‘Horse of the Year’ Honors. Also in 2007 Starlight proved he was also a capable young performance horse and captured the Reserve Champion spot in the Open Prix St. Georges for the German Oldenburg Verband” placing in the top three 15 times with scores over 70%.
