Georgie is a 16-year-old APHA mare who has been with me since 2017. We moved to Ohio from Oregon a few years ago, where we worked at a trail ride operation guiding tourists through National Forest land. Georgie was my guide horse but was also ridden by other ranch employees as well as guests. Georgie goes out on the trail alone or with others, leads or follows, crosses bridges, water, logs etc and highlines. In addition to being a trail horse, Georgie can be shown. I’ve hauled her to arenas and mountain trail courses where she enjoys pattern work and obstacles, and she would excel at mountain trail, cowboy dressage, or ranch horse classes. Georgie has nice free-moving gates and is lofty and athletic. Neck reins stops, collects and moves her quarters, side passes, backs and w/t/c. Easy to bathe, clip, and trim and can be shod. Ties and stands although she has been known to set back, she does not set back in the rope halter. Georgie likes people and likes attention.
