Foxtail had a solid restart after retiring sound from racing in 2020. She has since had a career as a fox hunting horse at the Arapahoe Hunt (staff horse). She routinely jumps up to 3’ on the hunt field, and has potential to go higher. She is a very sweet, personable mare to be around, and she will try her heart out for you. She is brave to the fences, and safe and careful when galloping over rough terrain. She does occasionally have opinions that typically result in a mini tantrum or a stop and spin (not at a fence, but maybe a cow or a random yucca). No buck, rear, or bolt, but she does better with a more confident rider. She has no experience at recognized competitions, but has participated in fun hunt events such as hunter paces and fieldhunter trials. She has recently gone to a couple eventing schooling shows and has done very well. Foxtail LOVES her job as a hunt horse, but would easily transition into eventing, and would also be an excellent trail or endurance horse. Foxtail currently lives out 24/7 in a small group, but also does fine in a stall. Sound, no maintenance, easy keeper, good feet, no medical issues. No vices, good for everything.
