Sparky is a wonderful sweetheart. Loves attention and loves to share snacks. When we purchased Sparky he was an old sweetheart with a minorly arthritic knee that we had evaluated by a vet. Sparky was previously cleared for and used very lightly in our riding program for basic walk/trot lessons to keep him active and limber. After noticing a change in his gate, we had him reevaluated by the vet and have found that his arthritis has progressed further and he is now recommended to be retired from the program, which we did immediately. He is still sound at the walk but is very off at the trot and above due to the stiffness in his knee. Maintenance: He receives one pill of Adequan each morning to help. Sparky is an absolute sweetheart. You can see it in his face and everyone loves him. We want what is best for him and are looking for a home that wants a pasture pet or companion animal. If we owned the facility at which we board, we would keep him forever during his retirement, unfortunately, we are unable to do so and desire a loving home for him. We may request pictures of your facility or to be the ones to drop him off to confirm he is going to a good home... We want him in a loving home that respects his limitations and we aren't in a rush to get rid of him. Will only release him if we think it's the perfect fit. We will NOT release him to another lesson program or to a barn where we think he might end up in one.
