Introducing the talk of the town, the one that catches your eye when you walk into my barn, Voodoo. Voodoo is a 6 year old cremello gelding standing 15.2HH. Trained specifically for the weekend trail rider, the first horse family, the “my grandma needs a new best friend”. Voodoo is an easy type of going guy with a great mind, and a big heart. If safety, and reliability are on the top on your priority list, here’s your unicorn!

Miles and miles of trails this big boy has seen! Voodoo has had many of training miles on the trails in a group or by himself. He will go where you point him, through water, swamps, and rough terrain. He crosses the obstacles, lumber and anything in his path! He is absolutely traffic safe. I don’t know how much better we can present that other than how we did in his video. Ride him next to 70 MPH traffic with semis or ride down the side walks, he doesn’t care! Voodoo has been desensitized to a lot of things including tarps, blowers, fireworks, and ATV’s. He doesn’t blink an eye at farm machinery, barking dogs, or other chaos.

Voodoo has also been ridden in the arena and could easily excel in an arena atmosphere with more targeted training. Voodoo’s always been a family / trail horse so riding in the arena was never a priority. He does know his leads, transitions off of seat and voice commands. He will collect up on the bridle when asked and is very easy going. He can easily be ridden english, but he’s been primarily rode western.

Voodoo is very easy going and a lovable guy! He does not have any mentionable vices, gets along well with the herd and is very low maintenance. He does not require weekly or daily riding and has absolutely no buck. I rode him with no concerns after he was turned out for 6 months. He was born gentle! He may be 6 years old, but he’s an old soul at heart. He was used for lessons as well when he was with his previous owner. He stands to be tied, groomed, tacked and bathed. He loads and unloads and is a great patient for the vet.
