Jack is a beautiful gray roan gelding, standing 15.2 hands tall. Jack is 3/4 quarter horse and 1/4 Percheron. Jack's stocky and stout build is suitable for any size rider! He is athletic, intelligent, friendly, and gentle. In the last year, Jack has been our go-to horse. Whether it's trail riding, catching, sorting, loading cattle, town parades, shooting guns off of him, or a horse for the kids to ride. Jack has been the man for a job and a Jack of all trades! Jack has the best personality! He is fun, outgoing, curious, brave, and ALWAYS ready to learn. He loves attention and people. Jack is an amazing all-around horse that has a lot of things going for him! Jack is a trick horse and proud to show off his tricks! He will lay down from the ground or mounted! Jack can sit like a dog and follow you with the command of "come". Jack makes mounting easy with a click of a finger! He side passes up to the mounting block, gate, log, truck, or whatever you choose to mount from! Jack's been trained in natural horsemanship and liberty training work. He has spent many hours in the round pen. With this training and experience, shows in his attitude, demeanor, and everyday riding. Jack spent 90 days of professional training in reining and cutting. He will sit and spin 360-degree circles with ease! Jack is soft in the mouth and has a big sliding stop. He has one of the best lopes of any horses we've ever owned. Every stride that Jack takes is collected and smooth. He lopes slow circles in both directions while taking the correct leads, side passes, and backs up at your command. Jack is very responsive and knowledgeable. Our 6-year-old is riding him in the video! Jack works completely off of leg cues and your seat. He can be ridden completely bridleless! Jack has many hours of indoor and outdoor arena training and is super handy out in the pasture with cattle. Jack has extensive trail riding experience. He has many miles of trail riding by our entire family! He will go up and down steep hills with ease, through mud, ditches, and deep water. He will cross over logs and through brush without an issue. Jack is surefooted on rough rocky terrain and has been ridden in all of it! Riding out alone or with a group, in the front or the back, Jack doesn't care. Jack is also an expert in the cattle world! He has experience roping and tying down cattle, loading cattle in semis, and has been used some at the stockyards. We use Jack on our farm daily to check fences, and cattle, or catch cattle. We have ridden him at a cattle round-up to catch, sort, and work a few hundred head of cattle over a couple of days on 1000+ acres. Jack is very quick on his feet to catch a cow. He is very athletic and agile, but at the same time, he is always cool, calm, and level-headed. Jack's laid-back nature would rather be walking and taking it easy, but always willing and ready to go do what you ask...
