"Sam" is a 2017 15.3 hand TB cross mare. Super cute type. Currently jumping 2'3" courses, brave, easy to ride on the flat.
Sammy has been exposed to a little bit of everything so far: hunter shows, pleasure shows, hunter paces, combined tests, bareback trail rides, jumper shows, and she competed at a starter trial fall of 2023.
Good on trails. Cross country schooled water, banks, and ditches with ease. 3 comfortable and balanced gaits. She has been well cared for and deeply loved by everyone around her, and has had age appropriate training. Sammy is the perfect combination of sugar and spice and is alert to her surroundings, so she would not be suitable for a beginner and would benefit from a soft, confident, educated rider. She is only seven after all!
This is the horse who will come cantering over to you when you call her from the field and will follow you around like a sweet puppy dog. She has personality in spades and loves people! A competent AA or experienced teen with a trainer would be a great match to continue developing her! She loves having her person and is happiest in a consistent program.
Incredibly friendly and smart, easy keeper, great feet, good with other horses, no maintenance required - lives out 24/7. She does have two *old* small cold, set splints, so if you can’t handle cosmetic blemishes she is not for you. Ties, loads, and stands for the farrier; hates having her mane pulled. I am only selling this adorable girl because she is young and game and ready to move up and I am old and busy; I will be very picky about where she goes :)
