Brumby is a 2007 model titled mustang captured in Wyoming in 2009. He has seen countless miles of trail as a mountain trail horse, been on overnight hunts and has packed through the rugged mountain terrain. He also spent some time on a dude ranch. He crosses swamps, bogs, down trees, creeks, or anything you point him at with ease and is as sure footed as they come. He rides out alone and can go all day. You won’t find one with better bone or stouter made. He’s an easy keeper, hard strong feet and no maintenance issues whatsoever.
Brumby has been shown English and western (and done well) by advanced students and despite doing well he is much more at home on the trail and that would be his ideal job. He finds arena work an absolute bore! Brumby is not for an absolute beginner but a handy intermediate rider could get along with him fine. He is more whoa than go. Loads in the trailer every time, stands all day for grooming and saddling ( and actually hopes you’ll forget about him so he can take a nap). He’s soft in the mouth, collects beautifully and has a beautiful rocking chair lope. He has been around kids, cows, 4 wheelers, and every farm animal you can imagine.
