Daughter of AQHA and PHBA WORLD CHAMPION stallion, Arent I Pretty. Meet Clementine! This perfect young mare is the ultimate combination of beauty, class, athleticism and brains. With the movement of a Warmblood, the athleticism of a Thoroughbred and the quiet mind of a Quarter Horse, this mare has the best of everything! Clementine is destined to achieve top level performance in the dressage arena (or, any arena for that matter!) and is looking for a rider who can put the finishing touches on her education while also enjoying her sweet companionship. Clementine is currently in a professional dressage program, and at only 3 years old, is wise beyond her years. Undersaddle, Clementine is an absolute dream to ride. She is soft in the bridle, responsive to her rider's aids (without being dramatic or overreactive), is brave in new and busy environments and has a wonderful work ethic. Perhaps what I love most about riding Clementine is the sense of confidence and intelligence she possess. She really wants to please her rider, and is a thoughtful and level-headed ride. She has three fabulous gates, and I'm blown away by the reach of her shoulder and natural impulsion from her hind end. She's built wonderfully uphill and that really translates to how she feels undersaddle. Even though she has wonderfully expressive gates, she is still extremely comfortable to sit and makes you feel very secure in the saddle. She is also fantastic on trails. I've taken her out on trails alone, and can ride on a long rein. She's super relaxed and comfortable out in the woods, and didn't event bat an eye when we ran into an unexpected hiker. I was so impressed with her ability to go out alone. Clementine would be ideal for an experienced amateur or a professional who is looking for a young horse to bring up the levels. On the ground, Clementine is kind, sweet and gentle. She loves to be fussed over and groomed and will happily hang out with "her people" for as long as they would like. She's very social and enjoys being the center of attention. She gets along well with others, and is happy to have company. She loads into and out of the trailer like a pro (I can do both completely unassisted) and is fantastic in new places. I've taken her to a friend's barn to ride (as seen in video) that has a very busy environment (trucks loading hay and grain, tractors, cows, goats, etc.) and she never once lost her cool. She takes everything in stride and I was really impressed with her calm attitude and unwaivering focus on me in such a busy place. She's also been great with other horses riding in the ring with us, as well as being fine while alone. I really haven't found anything that gets her upset. Clementine is UTD on vet and dental care. She wears front shoes only and is an easy keeper. While Clementine is not currently AQHA registered, I do have her signed registration and transfer papers in hand....just mail them in!
