Excellent opportunity for someone wanting to get started with Welsh. "Ruby" would be perfect for a broodmare or for the intermediate to advanced rider/handler. She is the last of my ponies from my prior days as a Welsh pony breeder. She's had two foals, one gray by a gray Welsh stud and one bay (pictured) by a quarter pony stud. She's easy to breed and foaling is no problem. She's not aggressive to her foal being handled. (May be bred back to AQPA stud before sale if desired) Excellent ground manners but is not a "push button" show pony. She does move off the leg. Has jumped but primarily ridden Western or Driven. Ruby has been ridden and driven all over the countryside, in creeks, fields, gravel and pavement. Also driven in parades. Shown at local shows in halter and ridden classes. Is accustomed to chickens, deer, etc. She will kick at dogs that are aggressive. Tends to be boss mare with other equines. Clips, bathes (though not her favorite thing), easy to catch and trim. Ruby is NOT homozygous for gray. I can provide a copy of her genetic testing for color if you wish. She does have some melanomas that are not serious per my vet. No other apparent issues...though at her age it wouldn't be uncommon to have some mild arthritis. She has excellent hooves, getting barefoot trims about every 6 weeks. Very easy to handle her hooves and easy to deworm. Her beautiful wood carriage (antique body with lanterns original to it; Everything else newer), Quality biothane Amish made harness, and other tack are available to purchase if desired. Negotiable to right home.
