Let me start by saying this is one of the most gentle, easy-going geldings I’ve had in my barn in quite some time. Seriously, he isn't bothered by anything and it makes him the most genuinely FUN horse to be around - he puts up with all of our shenanigans & my lesson kids love him! Safe, steady & seasoned, he’ll ensure a great experience for riders of all ages and skill levels. Meet Stetson! This handsome, cherry red 12 year old gelding is what owning a horse is all about. He is traffic safe - cars, trucks or semi’s blasting right on by don’t phase him the least bit. Ride him through the drive-thru, meander through the park, hit the trails… Stetson is just happy to be there. He rides out alone or in a group. Stetson offers a ride so smooth, you’ll feel like you’re gliding on air. I know everyone claims their horse is a comfortable ride but I’m serious y’all, this guy is exceptionally smooth for a quarter horse. (a terrific choice for those of us with back problems). Stetson is the kind of horse you can let sit for months on end, hop on & go. In his video you can see just how good he is with the parachute and all that jazz – I want to say that what you see in the video was the very first time he has ever seen or done any of those things. No practice or prior desensitization, which says more than I ever could about his mind and how superbly he deals with new or unfamiliar things. You can do all the training in the world but if a horse doesn't have a quiet mind, one day you'll be out and about and come across something you've never trained them for and find yourself in a big bind. I know I can trust Stetson with anyone, anywhere, anytime! Stetson stands at an ideal 14.3 hands and has plenty of substance, making him the suitable size to pack anyone around. You don’t see horses like him very often and I’m sure it goes without saying at this point but in case it’s not obvious enough – Stetson is a keeper. That’s why he has been held onto by the same family for the past 12 years. It is only due to family circumstances that he is being offered for sale.
