Misty is a super sweet chestnut Quarter Pony mare. 20 years old, 12.2 hands. Don’t let her age fool you, she does not look or act 20! Green broke, has done pony rides/lead line, but don’t know much about her history before that. Very sweet on the ground, walks right up to anyone in the pasture, has great ground manners and is easy to handle by ANYONE. Stands totally still with kids around her and is careful and slow in hand. Has lived with geldings and mares, gets along with everyone and is low man on the totem pole. UTD on shots/deworming, barefoot, all around easy keeper. Loads and hauls easily. Misty has done trails with other horses, lessons, camps and obstacles. Doesn’t bat an eye at new things and has been started over small jumps. Quick learner when she is in consistent work. She has nice gaits and moves well off leg pressure. Her biggest issue is that if she is confused or frustrated, she will rear. For an experienced rider who can catch it early and move her in a different direction, it is no issue. Bought her for my lesson program, but now I need the stall for something bigger. We have found that she settles in to having one rider and goes a lot better when she has time to develop an understanding with them. Due to this and her sensitivity, Misty is looking for her own person! She would make a great companion horse for someone who wants a sweet pony on the ground and could throw a kid on for a little walking ride, or she could be a trail horse/fun project for a more experienced and patient rider. Asking 3,500. Would also consider trading for a larger horse that could be used in a lesson program. Contact for more information/pictures/videos.
